The Long Road Back; Pete York’s latest album was spurred on by his relatively recent re-immersion into teaching music with his successful Brighton-based music school ’The J.O.Y Music Academy’ Established in 2014 in Chelsea, London.

This album was first started in 2010 shortly after his tour with Fatboy Slim, The Long Road Back is infused with his journey through life. Written and Performed by Pete York this is his first extended production it carries experiences and interactions with the outside world in all its forms 

Due to the current climate, there is a rising number of children struggling to find ways into music including some of Pete’s own pupils, Pete believes strongly no child should be unable to pursue one of life’s greatest happiness’; Music. 

The Long Road Back is a summary of the influences that helped shape Pete York’s Journey. Here are just a few of the Iconic musicians Pete has collaborated with; Iggy Pop, Fatboy Slim, David Byrne (Talking Heads), Squeeze, and The Happy Mondays. All of which has inspired this Alternative & Eclectic EP.
